📢 Radiant Core v3.1.2 — Security Release (mandatory upgrade)
v3.1.2 is out. This is a security release and a mandatory upgrade for all mainnet node operators.
⏰ Upgrade deadline: mainnet block 440,000. The SCRIPT_SECURITY_UPGRADE soft fork has been brought forward to block 440,000 (was 444,444 in v3.1.0). Every mainnet node — including nodes on v3.1.0 — must be on v3.1.2 before block 440,000. It's a clean, non-retroactive soft fork — but the deadline is real. Track your block height (radiant-cli getblockcount), not the calendar. (But should be in about 10 days)
🛠️ What's in v3.1.2
• Memory-exhaustion DoS closed at relay — now, not just at the fork. One transaction could exhaust node memory; v3.1.1 rejects it from the mempool immediately (non-banning, so it can't partition honest peers). The check is also now O(1).
• Double-spend-proof relay fix — a per-peer leak that could permanently block a peer from relaying proofs.
• Restore-from-seed no longer silently shows a zero balance — sethdseed checks both derivation paths against the UTXO set first.
• Authenticated wallet encryption (encrypt-then-MAC) — backward-compatible; existing wallets unchanged.
• REST RPC auth on by default + DSProof/feerate/cookie/dumpwallet hardening.
• Money layer independently re-audited — no inflation vector.
